Benefits of TRA Membership

What are the benefits of being a TRA Member?

Tasmanian Regional Arts Members enjoy a range of internal and external benefits. Apart from receiving discounts at TRA events and being able to contribute to a number of wonderful local and visiting arts activities, TRA membership provides great savings and peace of mind.

Members of Branches

TRA Branch members receive affordable comprehensive public liability cover for both locally generated and visiting arts activities. Public liability cover is now a requirement when booking venues and spaces for activities and TRA's cover of $10 Million meets all requirements for most venues provided through Tasmania.  TRA provides branches with an annually updated Certificate of Currency which provides branches with proof of cover when booking venues or staging events.

Additionally TRA provides volunteer insurance for its volunteer network. This protects volunteers who may be injured while engaging on a TRA activity. Age restrictions apply to this cover which is again renewed annually

Members of Affiliated Organisations

TRA affiliated organisations too receive public liability cover but are required to make a co payment for this cover as determined by TRA's insurance broker. Affiliated organisations do not receive volunteer cover for their membership.

Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra

All TRA members enjoy a 10% discount of all performances when you show your TRA membership card. If booking on line or via the phone  please advise the booking office of your branch membership to secure the discount.

Community Arts Network WA

TRA members have reciprocal discount arrangements with TRA members- handy if you're traveling out west and want to attend a CAN WA event.

Pocopeople

Pocopeople is a young, Tasmanian based design company that aims to support regional and community arts groups such as TRA Branches and Affiliated Organisations.
